Home to the holy abode of the Dalai Lama at McLeod Ganj, this town located in Kangra Valley has numerous Buddhist monasteries, scattered amidst the hills surrounding this region. With the establishment of the Tibetan government-in-exile, the traditions and flavors of Tibet have found its way into the culture and cuisine of Dharamshala.
Day 1 (Welcome to Himachal (Delhi & Chandigarh to Dharamshala)
- Begin your sojourn to the wonderful Himachal Pradesh by gathering at the designated point in Chandigarh and driving to Dharamshala.
- On reaching the hotel, relax and enjoy the evening at leisure. If you wish, you could wander around the town on your own to buy Buddhist handicrafts and taste local delicacies like momos and thukpa. Thereafter, head back to the hotel to doze off.
Day 2 Dharamshala Charms (Sightseeing in McLeod Ganj)
- Meals as per hotel plan
- After breakfast, visit the Tibetan Market, Dal Lake, Naddi View Point, the Church of St. John, local monasteries or tryout some meditation courses. Enjoy the evening at your leisure and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3 Triund Trek
- When you meet up with us at Bhagsunag, the beginning site for the Triund trek, your journey will begin early in the morning. It is anticipated that the Triund hike would take 4-5 hours.
- Getting to Triund early enough to experience the sunset’s spectacular beauty.
- With a great meal, we relax while camping during the Triund.
- After the romantic evening, there are games, tales, and a campfire.
Day 4 (Bye Bye, Dharamsala (Dharamsala to Chandigarh)
- Sunrises may be a tranquil and energising way to start the day and get ready for the base’s descent.
- I’m able to unwind a little while eating breakfast.
- Beginning the effortless ascent to Bhagsunag’s base.
- Dharamshala Sightseeing (Tea Garden, Cricket Stadium)
- After breakfast, drive to Chandigarh. Check-in at the hotel and spend the evening at your leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
