Itinerary

Day 1Mcleodganj – Triund

Hike to Triund, a little tableland, is a delightful 9-kilometer stroll through forests of deodar and rhododendron. Triund provides the full Kangra Valley vista. This camping area is amazing.

Day 2 Triund – Lahs cave

This is a short (7 km) hike through woodlands of oak and deodar. Reach Laka Got, which is located at the tip of a tiny glacier, after 4 kilometres. The snowline is shown by this glacier. Proceed 2 kilometres over a precipitous rocky ridge after navigating the glacier to arrive at Lehs Cave. Overnight stays are permitted in the large cave.

Day 03 Lehs cave – Inderhara pass

During the monsoon, the path to the pass is rocky, but it is gentle in the early summer. There is a difficult ascent to the pass. Climbers find it difficult to manoeuvre in foggy or completely obscured conditions, so it’s best to wait for the weather to clear. The hard ice that forms throughout April and May makes the trek more difficult. Upon ascending the pass, the Pir Panjal ranges become distinctly visible. Up until the middle of July, the other side of the pass is covered with snow. The trail descends to Chata Parao, a stunning green field that is perfect for camping.

Day 04Chata Parao – kwarsi

The trip to Chata Nullah is a 6-kilometer descent that begins with a walk across a large pasture field and ends with a dense pine forest. Kwarsi is a tiny community of indigenous people encircled by dense pine forests. Spend the night in the village and take advantage of the kindness of the locals.

Day 5 Kwarsi – Siur

The trail leaves Kwarsi and travels through a thick pine forest. The trail is extremely small and passes through large boulders in many spots. It takes around three hours to get to the roadhead, where you must walk for two km and cross the Ravi River to enter Siur village after passing through the villages of Hilling and Lamu along the route. Spend the night in the tents.

Day 06 Siur – Bharmour

It takes almost three hours to get to Bharmaur after passing through various tribal communities. Beautiful village Bharmaur has a few guest accommodations and is well connected to Chamba town via road.
