The distance from Mcleodganj to Jungle Camp is 5 km. Following breakfast, we set out on foot to Dharamkot, also known as the small hippy village of the Himalayas. Renowned for its yoga community, Dharamkot is the perfect place to spend a few days getting away from it all. The place’s atmosphere, which combines elements of enchantment, the unadulterated spiritual energy of the Himalayas, locals’ contentment, calm and tranquilly, and a sense of unity with the natural world, is what makes it so great. All of your senses will be awakened by the whistling of birds, the whistling of air through the leaves of deodar trees, and the faint scent of farm animals. It’s a great place to practise yoga and meditation in the morning.
We will next go to the Galu Temple, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Dhauldhar Range. The forest camp, which is close to the river, is reached after a leisurely stroll down the hill. Spend the night at a camp and enjoy a meal by the campfire while listening to calming music.
You’ll hear birds chirping when you awaken. After a leisurely breakfast, enjoy your morning. Later, we will travel to Naddi village, commonly known as Sunset Point. From there, we will stroll up to Dal Lake, and if time allows, we will visit the Shiva temple before returning to Mcleod Ganj.
