Itinerary

Day 1Arrive Pathankot and drive to Bonthu Village (Base camp) (1600m/5248ft)

As you reach Pathankot, board a taxi to travel to the base camp for this trek located at Bonthu Village.

Once you arrive at the campsite, lunch will be served following by allotment of tents to you.

Later, take the chance to enjoy a walk around Bonthu Village and river Gaj. Explore the local region very well.

Return to the campsite and have dinner and afterwards sit and relax by a bonfire if weather permits and sing song, share stories and play games.

Day 2Acclimitization Trek to Guna Devi Temple (2000m/6560ft/8Km).

Today, after breakfast, head out to take part in an 8 kilometer.

Have lunch en route and explore the Guna Devi Temple located at a height of about 2000 meters above sea level.

Return to the campsite and have dinner.

Day3Trek to Top Camp at Bagga (2450m/8036ft/7Km)

Post breakfast, leave for trek to Camp-1 at Bagga, you will reach by the time for lunch.

On arrival Rasna/ Lemonade will be served.

Post lunch, the camp leader will welcome the group which will be followed by the allotment of tents on sharing basis.

In the evening, soup will be served and then dinner. Enjoy bonfire at the campsite if weather permits.

The group will logout from the hectic day and will sleep in the tents.

Day4Trek to Snow point/line and beyond and back to Base Camp (3200m/10496ft/9KM)

Great spectacular views of the Dhauladhar snow mountains from the top can be obtained with your trek to the snow point today in the morning.

The group will return to the campsite by noon and have lunch.

Spend the evening at leisure and have some hot soup before you get together by the bonfire arranged and then for dinner.

Day5Checkout and drive back to Pathankot or Mcleodganj

Post breakfast, get a drive back to Pathankot or Mcleodganj to wind up the tour.

Gaj Pass is the most suited and most convenient route to reach Lam Dal. The pass is situated at an altitude of 4140 meters and follows a treacherous path that comprises of moraine terrain, dense alpine forests, glacial routes and never ending pastures.
The Gaj Pass Trek is described as moderate to difficult trek which will let you witness the untouched and completely non-commercialised route to the Dhauladhar ranges. The trail follows the course of the Gaj river, crossing many wooden bridges over plenty of streams along the way.
Bagga Dhar will be the campsite, which is a pastureland of the local shepherds. After a night of camping here, the trek will move further to the snowline even called as snow peak.
Those who are up to the task of hiking till Gaj Pass Summit can do so while others can enjoy a day of Himalayan trekking and enjoyment in snow. Those interested in hiking 4140m summit, can do the adventure after informing the trek organizers since the itinerary ends at 3200m.
