Effective date: 1 September 2025. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Hill Hikers website, bookings, treks, tours and related services operated by Hill Hikers (“we”, “us”, “our”) from McLeod Ganj, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.

By browsing our website, submitting an enquiry, or making a booking, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Bookings & payments

1. 01A booking is confirmed only after we acknowledge it in writing (email or WhatsApp) and, where applicable, after receipt of the required advance payment.
2. 02Prices shown on the website are per person unless stated otherwise and may change until a booking is confirmed.
3. 03You are responsible for providing accurate name, contact, travel date, and guest details at the time of booking.
4. 04The balance amount (if any) is payable as stated in your booking confirmation, typically before the trek or tour begins.

2. Cancellations & refunds

Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy and Return & Cancellation Policy. Please read them before booking.

3. Health, fitness & eligibility

• Treks and adventure activities involve physical exertion, altitude, weather and terrain risks. You must assess your fitness before booking.
• Participants must disclose relevant medical conditions, allergies or mobility limitations so we can advise suitability.
• We may refuse participation if, in our judgment, continuing would endanger you, the group or our staff.
• Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Itinerary changes & force majeure

Mountain conditions, road closures, government orders, landslides, snowfall or other events beyond our control may require route changes, delays or cancellation. We will make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative date or refund as per our cancellation policies.

5. Your responsibilities

• Follow instructions from trek leaders and support staff at all times.
• Carry required documents, permits and personal gear as advised.
• Respect local communities, wildlife and leave-no-trace practices on the trail.
• Do not consume alcohol or substances that impair safety during the activity unless explicitly permitted.

6. Liability

Adventure travel carries inherent risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hill Hikers is not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from factors outside our reasonable control, including weather, altitude sickness, third-party transport or participant negligence. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be limited under applicable law.

7. Privacy

We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Shipping & merchandise

Delivery of booking confirmations and any physical goods is covered under our Shipping & Delivery Policy and Hill Hikers Shipping Policy.
